Fun Dates That Are a No Brainer

Fun dates; isn’t that what we all strive for when it comes to going out on a date with someone that we’re interested in and even those that we’re not?? If you’re going out with someone new, you want to impress them by planning something really fun and unique and if you get stuck on a date with someone who is not quite what you’re looking for, you still want to at least be doing something fun so it’s not a completely wasted day. No matter what your situation; knowing what makes a fun date can totally change dating for the better.

What constitutes a fun date? Well, ideally one that has you both laughing and having a good time during and leaves you both smiling at the end. You may be looking for specifics about where to go and what to do and say to guarantee fun dates, but the truth is that your attitude will make a way bigger difference than a step-by-step itinerary. When it comes to dating, most of the time our attitudes stink! It seems that half of us are going on our dates with ridiculously high expectations of ourselves and the person we’re going out with wile the other half go into things so pessimistically that they are practically willing the date to be a bust before it even begins! No date stands a chance with that goin’ on!

A minor attitude adjustment will work wonders on your dates and is easily achieved if you think in terms of balance. For instance, you can’t keep setting the bar impossibly high for the men or women that you date and expect them to live up to some impossible standard that doesn’t exist outside of romance-novel jaded mind! You also don’t want to drop your standards either though. You need to find a balance between the two and learn to chose dates that you feel confident are a good match while at the same time keeping an open mind and remembering that no one is perfect. You need to understand that the only expectations that you should place on a date—especially in the beginning—is to have fun and enjoy the moment. C’est tout.

As for you pessimists; you really can dictate how your date will go depending on your view of it. If you set out on your date believing that it’s going to be crap, then chances are good that it will indeed be crap! The good thing is that it works the other way around as well, meaning that if you go into feeling good and positive and planning to have some fun, then you will change the dynamics of the date and end up having a much better time. No one can ‘make’ you have a bad time! It’ll be as good and as fun as you want it to be, so remember that the next time you’re getting ready to head out with someone you’re hoping to hit it off with.

Dating, just like everything else in life, is what you make it, so do your best to make it fun and you will be rewarded with fun dates and likely some better luck in love.
