Anxiety disorder is a term that is used pertaining to several types of pathological fears and anxieties. There are different forms of anxiety disorder including posttraumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, social anxiety disorder, phobias and panic disorder. Causes of this condition include low levels of GABA, a neurotransmitter that decreases activity in the central nervous system, the malfunction of parabrachial nucleus and the intake of some particular serotonin reuptake inhibitors that are used to treat depression are now increasingly causing anxiety.

Anxiety disorder symptoms comprise of psychological and physical symptoms. Psychological symptoms include the fear of losing control in any situation, the fear of going crazy and the fear of dying. Anxiety disorder may also reveal symptoms such as de-realization, which are feelings of unreality and de-personalization which means being separate from one.

Depression and feelings of suicide can also begin to arise. You loose the feeling of self worth and feel low and sad all the time. If you are, feeling depressed, it may be a symptom of anxiety disorder and you need to check it out. One way of making sure that you have the disorder is to check for the other accompanying symptoms.
Aggression and an increase in sexual feelings are other psychological symptoms that you may experience. These psychological symptoms are similar to those of panic attacks.

Physical symptoms of the anxiety disorder include shortness of breath, a racing heartbeat, chest pain and paipitatons. These symptoms may be associated with a heart attack or some other condition but when they are associated with other related symptoms of the condition in question then you are definitely experiencing this disorder.
You will experience an increased sensitivity to sound, smell, touch and light. Your mouth will occasionally be dry despite the amount of liquids you may drink each day.

Other physical symptoms include sore eyes, distorted vision, and excessive sweating; your sense of hearing will diminish gradually making it hard for you to hear clearly. Your arms, hands and feet will experience a tingling sensation and you will experience sensations of pins and needles in your skin when you suffer from anxiety disorder.
When you eat, you will have difficulty in swallowing and you will experience constipation, diarrhea, heartburn and indigestion. These are the main symptoms of anxiety disorder, a condition that one overcomes overtime when they have the will to do so.
