Of course, salt is much more pleasant to swim in but this isn’t a new idea. People have been using saltwater swimming pools for years. The first time I swam in a saltwater swimming pool was at a hotel in Durban. Many hotels that are on beaches just let the ocean water run into their swimming pools. Of course, they filter the sea water before it reaches the pool so its not full of seaweed and jellyfish. Another alternative to chlorine pools is bromide. Of course, owning a pool brings some responsibility with it. You have to always check the levels of different chemicals in your pool. If your swimming pool has too much chlorine in it, it could be harmful to your health

In the end, the best way to choose a pool for your home is to choose the one that will add the most value to your home if you list your home for sale. The best option is probably the indoor inground swimming pool. If you build your swimming pool in a glass room, you can still suntan poolside in the summer.
