Lindsay Lohan
If the current slew of Hollywood ’it’ girls is like a storm,
then Lindsay Lohan is holding steady in the eye of it. Before she got her big break in movies, she
had plenty of experience as a Ford model and commercial actress. Her performances in some 60 commercials and
a spot on the re-made television series Another World earned her the attention
she now holds.
Lindsay broke out onto the Hollywood scene with the smash
hit ”The Parent Trap” in 1998. With her
performance she received critical acclaim and several young actress
awards. After that, things went kind of
slow for her until 2003 with her sophomore hit ”Freaky Friday” with Jamie Lee
Curtis. She even received a Golden
Globe nomination for her work in the film.
Despite a rough ride at the box office in 2004 with ”Confessions
of a Teenage Drama Queen”, Lohan quickly rebounded with ”Mean Girls” in the
same year. Mean Girls grossed over $100
million worldwide and earned her a place in the ranks of fashionable Hollywood actresses.
Right now, she’s signed up for six other films over the next
two years. Not many actresses can claim
such a huge demand. Her upcoming
projects include: Fashionistas, Gossip Girl, Lady Luck, and Herbie: Fully
Loaded in 2005, as well as Dramarama and an untitled Nick Cannon project in
2006. Chances are you’ll be seeing her
in a theatre soon if you already haven’t!
