My Elongated Pennies Collection

My Elongated Pennies Collection
Site illustrates a collection of elongated, squished, smashed, and stretched pennies. Here are images of the elongated, pinched, pressed, rolled, smashed, squashed, squished, and stretched pennies in my collection. I started collecting them in July 2004. My goal is to collect a nice selection of pennies from each U. S. state and all the pennies from Arizona and about Historic Route 66. The states that I have elongated coins from include: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, etc. Other topics that I have separate pages for are: Elongated Quarters, Grand Canyon Region, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Historic Route 66, Phoenix, AZ, The Elongated Collectors (TEC), Tombstone, AZ, Tucson, AZ, Yellowstone National Park, Yosemite National Park, and a page for miscellaneous topics.

Site gives information about the Tucson Post Card Exchange Club which serves postcard collectors throughout Arizona. Site includes postcard exhibits.

This website titled "My Letterboxing Activities" gives Azroadie's letterboxing activities: boxes he has placed and found, and other letterboxing information. Letterboxing is an international outdoor recreational activity. Basically, small boxes are hidden in the great outdoors, and clues to finding boxes located in North America are posted to the "Letterboxing North America" or "Atlas Quest: International Letterboxing" websites. The boxes contain a rubberstamp and a logbook. Those trying to find the boxes have their own stamp and logbook. When the box is found, the finders stamp their logbook with the stamp from the box, and then stamp the logbook in the box with their personal stamp and write a brief message. The box is then hidden away again. The wonderful thing about letterboxing is that it takes you to places you may not otherwise visit! Go to the Letterboxing North America or Atlas Quest: International Letterboxing websites for additional information. The book "The Letterboxer's Companion" gives a nice introduction to the activity.
