Doing Theology from the Caribbean The theological meandecommunitys of Daniel Schweissing, American Baptist missionary to the Bahamas.
Drowning in a sea tide of Christian fundamentalism, right-winged politics, and the Just War Theory and finding the courage to swim against it.
The Levellers were a religiously-inspired movement for radical democracy, social justice (especially for the poor), religious liberty and human rights. The most eloquent of their leaders was the General Baptist, Richard Overton, a Mennonite-influenced pacifist who first coined the term “human rights” in 1640. In the spirit of Overton, this blog is a contemporary series of Leveller manifestos for 21st C. U.S. life.
