life among the trees Vegan family cooking- from Juneau Alaska
We are an Air Force family and arrived at Eielson AFB, Alaska, our sixth assignment together as a family, in Sept 2006. I began this blog so family and friends could keep track of us on our journey north. I have longed to live in Alaska my whole adult life, and now that I am here I want to experience and learn all I can about this extraordinary land -- and write all about it.
I am a 40-year-old wife and mom to a teenaged girl, and two dogs.
After living our homestead dream in Kentucky, we followed another dream and relocated to Alaska. We are currently in Anchorage and saving for our new Slice of Heaven, preferably a homemade log cabin in the woods. Join us as we adjust to city life and prepare to head back out to the country. Not to mention adjust to the awesomeness that is Alaska.
