Two Small Birds
Ramblings of a co-sleeping, free learning, unschooling mama who loves gardening, painting, photography, reading, writing, cooking and singing.

"Home is ..." consists of the ramblings of an at-home Mom - work-at-home, homeschool, homebirth, homestead - living on a quarter acre in a resort town in southern coastal Maine.

The past year we have lived in rural Missouri transplanted from San Francisco. After recovecommunity from culture shock and propping up our dilapidated house we set out to consciously live leaving as little footprint as possible. Our goal is to farmstead organically, sustainability and self-sufficiently. Many of our methods are a blend of historical-old-timey and recent developments. Most of our decisions are derived by a simple formula—what requires the least financial investment and usually largest physical effort? We desire to live richly from our farmstead while avoiding the grocery store. We home-school, co-sleep, extendedly breastfeed and gently parent our wonderful children.
