The Dead Zone
2002 - Johnny Smith has been leading an idyllic small-town life. Employed as a science teacher, Johnny takes great pleasure in showing his young students the wonders of the natural world. He is also newly engaged to Sarah, a fellow teacher he's known since childhood, and is a good son to his widowed mother, who lives nearby. Johnny's life is nearly perfect... until a near-fatal car crash that leaves him in a deep coma.

1999 Crusade, a spin-off from the Emmy-winning Babylon 5, describes the efforts of the Interstellar Alliance vessel Excalibur to find the cure to a plague released on Earth. This plague of nano-viruses, released by the Shadow's servants the Drakh in retaliation for the Shadow War (see Babylon 5 season 4 for details), will kill all mammalian life on Earth within five years if the cure is not found. Unfortunately, the plug was pulled on this series after just 13 episodes, so no resolution was ever achieved.

1999 - 2004 Ducommunity an experimental mission in Earth's orbit, Comm. John Crichton's craft, Farscape 1, hits an unexpected electromagnetic wave. The ship is sucked through a wormwhole and spat out in a distant part of the uni- verse - right into the middle of a pitched space battle. Having accidentally collided with another spacecraft , which results into the death of it's pilot, Farscape 1 is drawn through an intake port on Moya, a huge bio- mechanoid Leviathan ship. Moya's crew are escaped prisoners - Luxan warrior D'Argo, Delvian priest Zhaan and deposed Hynerian Dominar, Rygel XVI - all on the run from the Peace- keepers, a vast mercenary force with powerful influence across thousands of systems. To escape from the Peacekeepers Moya uses the StarBurst hyperspace manoeuvre, which inadvertantly traps a Peackeepership, flown by Officer Aeryn Sun, inside it's energy envelope.
