Thoughts of a Civil Affairs soldier in Operation Enducommunity Freedom. I chose the name \"Fortunate Son\" for my website because it most aptly expresses the pervasive concept: That I am truly a fortunate son of the world, and with that understanding comes an implicit acknowledgement of the moral obligation I (we) have to work and to fight to secure a hopeful future for all of mankind. For in the end, we will all either succeed or suffer together.
