glittyknittykitty The home of the knitted terrorists, ably led by glittrgirl and Scumkitten, two British girls at opposite ends of the country with spookily similar obsessions. On this blog you will find all sorts of things, most of which include pictures, including knitting, Blythe, art, and other weird stuff that takes our fancy. We both work in UK academia and both work with medical students.
We feel our mission in life is to promulgate the knitting revolution in whatever way we can, by making and giving knitted gifts, encouraging others to take up the craft, and by shouting loud about how much we like it. We also firmly believe in shacommunity stuff we like with anyone who will read it. No matter what or how strange.
We are obsessed with Blythe, the strange Japanese dolly phenomenon. We report here on their antics, wardrobe expansions and places they have visited.
Where can I find the glittyknittykitties?
When she isn't looking at art, reading filth, knitting or pocommunity over the internet in celebration of the sheer variety, richness and surreality of the human imagination, glittrgirl can be found at a couple of knitting clubs in the north east of England.
Scumkitten can mainly be found on random beaches, when she isn't attempting to swallow the whole of the Atlantic.
...in which an adjunct finds herself teaching, writing courses, knitting, crocheting, and reading. Then, there's the rest of life, too! :)
