HOMESCHOOL HEART-TO-HEART
Dominion Academy is a Charlotte Mason inspired home school. We use Ambleside Online along with an eclectic mix of other resources. My goal is to raise scholars who have a love of learning, biblical worldview, statesmanship, global awareness and oratory skills. This year I am homeschooling a kindergartner and a second grader. We are using A Child's Geography, Exploring Creation With Zoology 2, English for the Thoughtful Child and Primary Language Lessons, Singapore Math, and Rod and Staff materials, among other resources. We love to read and explore the outdoors together. I am personally also researching issues on femininity/womanhood, in preparation to write a book in the not too far future. We currently live in Florida, with it's beautiful beaches, but are missing the crisp autumn weather we enjoyed back on Long Island. We are excited to begin the 2009/10 school year, learning about our Father's world, His story and water life; mastering skills in reading, writing, and math; and just enjoying the beauty of God's creation, rhythm and rhyme in poetry, artwork and music.
