Hazelnut Reflections Meditations of an Episcopal priest, some sermons, some random thoughts, some knitting.
Presbyterian pastor seeking to find THE WAY in the midst of an often chaotic life filled with too many voices. This site features treasures gleaned from surfing the internet, books I'm reading, texts I'm struggling with as I write sermons and words which inspire and encourage me to take time to dwell in God's word. In the words of Soren Kierkegaard I am seeking to find the "indescribable joy" which comes from knowing a risen savior who shines the light of redemption in all the dark places of our hearts and lives. Too often the voices of the world drown out the voice of God. This site encourages me to "be still and know God." My desire is to hear the voice of God for my life. My life is often messy and yet God continually works through the lives of those who trust him and are not afraid to "cast their nets on the other side of the boat." I am the wife of Soulhler (making us a clergy couple), mother of four children, two dogs, two cats and a turtle and gramma to a chinchilla and mother to a rural congregation seeking to find new life.
