A Realization in Texture, Color and Movement..... Journaling about all types of Bead related artwork and designs. I love to experiment with technique, color and texture. The beaded figure and freeform bead embroidery are two of my most loved works at the moment. ~enjoy
It's about me, not the beads. This blog is for people who want to know what goes on in my head; for people who want to know what on earth I am thinking. Or not thinking. You'll learn some of my secrets: where DOES she find those gorgeous beads (yes, I share my sources!) and how many times did she rip that out and start over?
I was blessed to be taught the most important parts of my art and craft by three wonderful women: my grandmothers and my mother. From my maternal grandmother, I learned to do things right; she taught me the joy of ripping things to pieces when they aren't what I want them to be.
My paternal grandmother was cut from the opposite piece of cloth; she taught me to let go of my expectations and go where the work led. Ripping things out was not even in her vocabulary.
My mother gave me unconditional support; she loved everything I did, and when I was too critical of myself, she showed me another way to look at the piece.
In this blog I share my hopes and dreams, my highs and lows, my creative times and my fallow times. It's my life on the page, and through this blog I hope to share my life with old friends, and introduce myself to new ones.
