We have been homeschooling for 12 years. Erica's education started at a Waldorf School which we loved but could no longer afford. We decided to give homeschooling a try. We have tried various approaches until we learned that unschooling or life learning is what worked best for our family. The girls are now 18 and 14. The oldest has just left for college. She is acroos the country in British Columbia studying acting and having a great time. Deanna is still at home and will probably stay home until she is ready to go off to college or whatever she chooses. She is currently very interested in photography. It seems that there are more and more people interested in homeschooling all the time. They all have questions and concerns and are looking for support. That is why I decided to start a blog. To share my memories, experiences and what we do on a day to day basis. Also to show that yes kids can be unschooled all the way through high school and enter into adulthood happy, enthusiastic and ready for anything. This has been one of the greatest adventures of our life.
