Highlands Astronomical Society Online
The Highlands Astronomical Society exists to promote and extend the awareness of, interest in and enjoyment of astronomy within a friendly and stimulating environment, hosting educational, practical and social activities in the local area, accessible to all ages and level of knowledge. The Society seeks to achieve its aims through a varied programme of meetings, activities and events, including talks, exhibitions, observing sessions open to the public and social events. Highlands Astronomical Society also aims to contribute worthwhile observational data to national and international astronomical organisations.

Knowle Astronomical Society was formed in April 2001. New members are welcome - young and old. Our members range from complete beginners to experienced amateur astronomers. We have armchair astronomers as well as keen observers. Monthly meetings are held along with occasional observing sessions (star parties) and trips. No prior knowledge of astronomy is necessary, just a curiosity about the Universe in which we live. Why not attend a meeting to try us out! Meetings are held at 7.30pm on the first Monday of each month at Dorridge Methodist Church Hall, 135 Mill Lane, Bentley Heath, SOLIHULL, West Midlands, B93 8NY.

The Eastbourne Astronomical Society in East Sussex welcome anyone interested in astronomy. We usually have a visiting speaker, but we also have talks by our members, slide shows and demonstrations. We hold practical evenings at Arlington village hall once a month for all ablilities.
