An investigation into the Old Religion of Britain, supporting its belief in reincarnation. Clues from Welsh mythology, Irish myth and legend, Norse saga and poetry, archaeology, the Eleusinian Mysteries of Ancient Greece, Plato, the Athenian dramatists, Homer, the English poetic intuition of Geoffrey Chaucer, Edmund Spenser, William Blake and a host of other clues; but surprisingly and perhaps intriguingly, from MEDIEVAL ROMANCE and MEDIEVAL ARTHURIAN LEGEND. These weird Medieval tales are strange, evocative and compelling for a very good reason, the visitor will find argued. They sought to protect, disguise and preserve the old pagan religion, and in particular the idea of reincarnation, at a time when a person could be burnt at the stake for such heresy. This site includes Modern English translations of over thirty entertaining and I hope fascinating tales and Romances that are found in Middle English manuscripts of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries.
