herschel astrosoc
Website of the Herschel Astronomical Society. Based in the Thames Valley we welcome beginners and experienced Amateur Astronomers alike to our monthly meetings and Observatory.

We are a small group of about 15-25 members who share an interest in all aspects of astronomy. The meetings usually consist of general informal chat and slideshows of members astrophotography. We have set up a series of talks and discussions for the forthcoming season of meetings. New members of any ability are always welcome.

Founded in early 2000, Sigma now has a strong membership of around 50 and meets on the first Friday of every month at 7pm in Elgin, Morayshire. Sigma also has it's own observing site at Birnie, making the most of the areas dark skies. Observing sessions are held every Friday, weather depending.
