Synaesthesia and Education I am a graduate student at the University of Cambridge investigating the effects of synaesthesia on learning in children - in particular the effects of grapheme-colour synaesthesia on numerical processing.
I'm a trans-sensual. My synesthesia is a lucky crossover of senses. I see colors in letters, numbers and time. My world is a beautiful kaleidoscope where the black and white of every printed page, and sounds when people speak, are bright like a cottage garden in Summer. The colours helped me read, spell and remember words. Best of all they hid my semi-deafness from everyone, even me. The colors and my deafness cocooned me with a bullet-proof glass shield, through which the world was beautiful. Not heacommunity enough to be affected by the words of the world, or to express with words, I stayed free from the word control and word crap most people take for granted. Free from being told what my life was supposed to be, what I was supposed to feel, I followed my path of visions and dreams to become a harlot, and received goodness and healing.
