Site gives information about the activities of the Tucson Volkssport Walking Klub which offers non-competitive family-oriented walks & hikes throughout Arizona. Volkssporting, simply defined, is a family-oriented sports and recreation program offering noncompetitive walks, hikes, bike rides and swims, and in some regions cross-country skiing and roller or ice skating. You may choose your time to start within the start/finish "window" and participate in the sport at your own pace. The club hosts about 4 to 6 one-time weekend events during the year. Most of the events are in the Tucson region. However, in recent years 1 or 2 events per year have been held in other more rural parts of Arizona. The club also offers 14 year-round walks and a year-round bike ride. Year-round events are volkssporting activities that are available any day of the year and anytime of the day from sunup to sundown. The registration sites for the club's year-round events are at businesses that are open every day of the year.
