Yarn Tomato
A blog about my exploration of the art of crochet.

I learned to crochet as a child, when my grandmother taught me how. We would spend many hours together, with her teaching me the various stitches. I grew to love the craft, and taught my daughters to crochet also. Now, many years later, I've also begun to teach my granddaughter this craft. My favorite projects have always been baby crochet items, especially afghans and blankets. It has become a tradition in my family for me to welcome each new baby with a handmade blanket I've crocheted especially for them. I created this site as a place to find instructions, supplies and patterns. Anyone is free to comment and ask questions. I enjoy searching for new patterns and try to make as many of them available as possible. Some are free, others are available to purchase. You'll also find helpful hints, tips and articles. Visitors are always free to submit their own articles to be published if they'd like. Even though I've been crocheting for many years, I'm always looking for new tips and patterns.

My adventures in needlework.
