The sydneyscubadive.blogspot.com/ site is Colin Price's blog of recent dives. I call it my online dive log but I refer more to the feelings and thoughts than the technical capture of the metrics of my dives. I review popular scuba sites in and around Sydney and maybe further afield from time to time. I try to capture the lesson and learning from each dive as I believe experience comes from realising that you know very little and trying to improve on that situation. I will review my equipment and pass on any thoughts I have, both good and bad, about my diving experience.
I learned to dive in 1986 up at Tweed Heads under a guy named Terry Morrison and I received my open water certificate from NAUI at that time. I have been reluctant to get certified any further as I see it as rubber stamping, especially when I see some of the Advanced divers that have not completed 10 dives. I am pretty sure that when I learned you needed 50 dives minimum to become an advanced diver but it looks like PADI have granulated it further. I didn't want this to turn into a rant but as you can see I sometimes get into a rant on my site.
