A small site about Sydney's oldest and largest cemetary, Rookwood Necropolis. Dating from 1867, the Mausoleums and gravestones are beautiful. A more indepth history of Rookwood will be added as the information comes to me. Building of the Rookwood site started March 1st, 2002.
Enter the remains of a "rural cemetery" dating from the 1850's. The decaying mouments and mausolea give the effect of historic ruins in this peaceful, calming place.
