DoozieLife
I am a 42 year old WAHM trying to blend a family comprised of toddlers to teenagers. We have survived job loss, foreclosure, a kid being hit by a truck, a child with major auto-immune disorders who lost her colon last year, an unexpected baby blessing at the age of 41, and many other challenges. Although I try and use a dry sense of humor to get though these situations, sometimes the beeatch in me slides through. I hope that by sharing my experiences, I can help other parents who may be facing the change of life that occurs when your child faces a real life trauma, either due to illness or physical trauma. You can be strong when your child is air-lifted away and you are chasing the helicopter to the hospital. You can hold your child hand when they wake up and instead of a colon, they have a plastic bag. No matter what happens, you are a mom and you do have the strength to put on your mom face, do what needs to be done, and then run into the bathroom when its all done and cry your eyes out.

My name is Hallee. I’m a homemaker and a faithful Christian who works very hard to live my life by His principles. I’m my awesome husband’s help mate and biggest fan. He is a computer consultant by day and a Special Forces National Guardsman by weekend. We have three wonderful children, a dog, a cat, and live in quintessential-small-town Kentucky. Regular articles include LOTS AND LOTS (and lots) of Biblically inspired recipes, Daniel's Fast Friendly recipes, quick and easy recipes, and just a bunch of really delicious, healthy, simple, and tasty recipes. Our family follows a Levitican diet, though not a Kosher diet. We try to stick to homemade, home grown, organic, or unprocessed food made with all natural ingredients and whole grains. I share cooking advice as well as homemaking tips, canning and preserving tips, and weekly menu plans. I am really looking forward to trying your recipes and soliciting your earnest feedback on the recipes on my blog. God Bless! Hallee B.
