CalgaryDaddy A blog of the adventures of a soon to be new daddy! A dad's perspective of the journey into parenthood. Well, I am a 32 year old, born and raised Calgarian. and I am employed as a commercial insurance broker. ( Its pretty dry stuff...) I am active in local politics and I am an active community volunteer. I really do get a kick out of volunteering and helping others. I must slow down with the pending addition as my wife is quickly becoming a "committee" widow!
I have been married to my wonderful wife Becky since July 2007, but we have been together since September 2002. Becky is a rather private person and refuses to use Facebook or Twitter. She is also an Elementary School teacher with a background in Grades 1-6. We live in the deep south suburbs of Calgary, in a fairly new neighborhood. As an added bonus, they are building a school right in front of my house as we speak! This is great news for "Taddy"!
I am excited for the adventure and cannot wait for it to begin. I hope you all can get a few laughs along the way!
I love doing crafts, making homemade things for my kids and my friends kids. For a while now my friends have been telling me that I needed to start selling the things that I make instead of just giving them to people. Finally I decided that I would give it a shot. So that is how I started my site. Currently my main items on my site are cuddly critters, which is similar to sock monkeys only mine have hair and whatever else I feel like adding to them. I also make crocheted hats. These are my creation some of them have flowers some don't. They can be custom ordered in any colors that you choose. You tell me the color and I do my best to find the yarn that matches. I also make scarves with the same stitch as the hats and usually they get bought together with the scarf the same color as the flowers. Another item I have been making are purses. I would prefer them not to be custom ordered as it would be very hard for me to find the fabric you have in mind. I am currently thinking of new ideas to try. I hope you enjoy my site.
I created my blog, Momma Drama, for so many reasons. I recently became a first time mom to a beautiful baby girl. I decided to leave my professional life behind and become a stay at home mom until further notice. What am I going to do with all this free time?!?! Research. I spent my days....and nights... and any free time that wasn't consumed with diapers, bottles, or snuggles researching babies. And mommies. And what mommies do with babies. Here I was, a member of this elite group called "parents" and I didn't have a clue as to what I was doing.
I started relying on blogs of other moms to help me get through this uncharted territory. I started to become attached to these women and their families. I felt like I knew them. A friendship had been created through this cyber world. This cyber world was another club that I knew nothing about. I wanted to become a part of it. I wanted to make more friends. Ask more questions. Get more advice. So I created my blog, Momma Drama. I mean really, how many of us Momma's don't have a life full of drama? Listen to mine. Help me out. Share yours. We all need each other, right?
