Art Jewelry, Lampwork Beads ~ Art is reflection of the soul; fueled by emotion and awe inspired. While we may leave a part of ourselves with every person we touch, our words inevitably fade to whispers. In art there is a melody we sing right out loud; leaving behind a footprint of tangible expression~ of ourselves and of our humanity. ~JCannon My signature freeform jewelry ranges from the subtlety of organic pallettes to the indulgence of sparkling panache. I work most often with Czech, Japanese, and Delica seed beads in offloom stitching methods with a strong tendency toward elegance incorporating natural elements, vintage components and found objects. I am a connoisseur of color ~ driven to create the most unique combinations to excite and inspire. Each of my beads is lovingly wound on a 3/32" mandrel. I work with many of the soft glasses including Moretti/Effetre, Vetrofond, Gaffer, Bullseye, Lauscha, Richenbach, and Zimmerman. I have also recently added Borosilicate glass to my palette, and it has quickly become a favorite for its rich color possibilities and ability to withstand longer working periods. ~~

This site features my lampwork beads, as well as links to lampwork tutorials, lots of resources for beadmakers as well as jewelry artists. Once a month, I feature an artist that inspires me, sometimes a jeweler, another beadmaker, a painter... There is also a recommended reading list and a page that includes many bead societies and other interesting blogs. Another great feature is a ink to glass color charts (there are so many to choose from these days) and interesting tools, findings, and places you might never expect to find things to use in the studio...I also have galleries of my past lampwork beads, links to my Etsy store, which is the best place to buy my beads. I occasionally have specials on my web site as well. I have links to other artists whose work I find inspiring and am always updating as I find amazing new artists that make me look at materials in new ways. There is also a blog, of course, with musings about life in the country and the ways it inspires my art. Please come by for a visit!
