Hallee the Homemaker: Loving a Life of Biblical Womanhood My name is Hallee. I’ve been married seven years to the most amazing man on the planet. I’m a homemaker and a faithful Christian who works very hard to live my life by Christian principles. I’m a submissive wife, my husband’s help mate, his support, his biggest fan. He is a computer consultant by day and a Special Forces National Guardsman by weekend. We have three wonderful children, a dog, a cat, and live in quintessential-small-town Kentucky.
Regular articles pertain to stewardship, worship, Christian faith, and ministry. And there are LOTS AND LOTS (and lots) of Biblically inspired recipes, Daniel's Fast Friendly recipes, and just a bunch of healthy and easy and really tasty recipes. Our family follows a Levitican diet (though not a Kosher diet) and we try to stick to homemade unprocessed food made with natural ingredients and whole grains. I share cooking advice as well as homemaking tips, daily chore schedules, and weekly menu plans.
I don’t homeschool our middle schooler, but I do home-preschool our two toddlers. The debate continues as to whether we’ll continue the home schooling, place them in a Christian school affiliated with our church, or put them in public school. We have a few years before it will be an issue.
I write on Biblical Womanhood which covers topics from virtues to parenting. I recently completed a series on The 7 virtues of a Godly Wife. Also, the 5 conversations you must have with your daughter relate to modesty, purity, and shedding worldly ways in the face of a secular culture.
Every Sunday, my brilliant husband Gregg posts an article of about 2000 words detailing the glory and truth of God's creation as detailed in the book of Genesis. In addition, he dispels the logical fallacies and scientific errors espoused by methodological naturalism, Darwinism, and other secular humanist teachings. Please visit and select the CREATION category for inspiration, hope, facts, and truth.
I am really looking forward to God’s plans for this new venture!
In Christ. Hallee B
This site is dedicated to Biblical Womanhood. As discussed in Titus 2, "Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled."
That is my goal in my life: to love my husband an children, to be self-controlled, to have a pure mind and live a pure life, create a loving home, and submit to my husband. And with this ring, I want to share how I live my life so that I can offer wisdom and mentoring to younger mothers and wives, but also gain fellowship for myself through the Christian women who blog.
I also want to share recipes and kitchen help ideas that I've discovered along the way. My ministry is in service, specifically preparing and cooking food. God has blessed me richly in that department, and I want to share as many ideas and recipes with people as possible .
All with the goal of increasing God's Kingdom.
A place where the seedlings of faith grow in relationships, gardens and hearts. As you may be able to tell by the name "Nana's House", there will be countless entries about our 3 adorable grands, occassional tidbits about their "rents", and sporadic tales about my husband, me, and our Golden Retriever, Lucy. There may be a recipe or 2, as well as opportunites to connect to other blogs and web sites that are God-honoring. Most of all, it is a place where I can journal what God is teaching me, so that I may grow closer to Him. God has introduced me to many Christian sisters who are sharing their lives in Christ on their blogs, and it is such a joy to connect and relate to each one God sends my way. One of my life verses is Philippians 1:6 "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." We are all on this journey together, and we are blessed to find each other to lift each other up, teach each other and rejoice or cry with each other. May the seedlings of our faith continue to grow.
