A-B-C Frugality As a military spouse, life can be challenging: constantly moving and being uprooted from family and newly made friends, dealing with deployments and raising children alone, and of course, the unpredictability of the military in general. On top of all this, add in the fact that military pay doesn't always stretch very far when you have children. That's where my blog comes in.
As an Army wife with two small children, I know what it's like to have to stretch basic pay as far as possible to cover all the bills, that's why I created A-B-C Frugality. My blog will show you how to live a fabulously frugal life without having to "go without" any of the comforts you are used to. You'll learn how to cut your grocery bill in half and save on food, diapers, clothing, household goods and more. I'll teach you my secrets for feeding our family of 4 for less than $20 a week (including diapers). I'll also teach you how to cut back on your entertainment expenses while going out more than you ever did before, cut back on your gas and car expenses while traveling more than ever, and cut back on your utilities in a few simple steps.
Visit my blog today for coupons, freebies, deals, and tips to live your most frugal and fabulous life ever!
This is my place to share the lessons I have learned as a Navy spouse. Navy Life Lessons, Parenting lessons, Menu and budgeting ideas. The list goes on. My blog is where I express the information that I have picked up in my time as a Navy spouse and Spouse Mentor. The challenges of raising 4 kids around the military, going to school, running a home business are just some of the other topics that I cover. This life has afforded me the ability to laugh at myself and the things that I deal with from day to day. There are so many things that military families face that civilian families have a hard time understanding. I hope that my blog helps to teach those who are not around the military a little bit about what it is to deal with the day to day things that Military spouses contend with. Family thousands of miles away, friends that move away every few years, what it is to PCS or better yet PCS across the country with 4 kids and a dog. Entitlements, POA's, the list can go on and on. I try to give the most up to date information on the issues that we face.
A blog dedicated to gaining the perspective of the junior naval officer and shaping their development. This is a forum to share opinions, experiences and observations on a wide range of topics in the pursuit of personal, professional and service development. There are numerous blogs which attempt to tackle the "big" problems the military faces and the participants in the best of these are often well-established and respected senior members of the armed forces. The perspective of the junior Officer, mostly unpolished and sometimes naive, can still be useful in shaping an effective and responsive naval force. Additionally, participation from senior leadership and junior subordinates in this blog can help facilitate the development of young officers into senior leaders capable of inspiring and commanding the world's best Navy. Each military member has a unique relationship with their service branch and a constant, professional exchange of ideas allows people to see the service differently and make improvements before these issues become systemic. My hope is this blog is just one of many tools which creates a class of leaders who, as they progress through their career, develop a strong sense of introspection, peer support, and critical analysis.
