remember your karma I focus on quilts, quilting, shows, classes and what I create. I show my free-motion stitching, my dyed fabrics and completed quilts.I have recently begun dying my own fabrics and creating quilts from these fabrics, so I am often discussing that. I love color and let the fabric lead me in the quilt design. I am currently working on more improvisational piecing and complementing the quilt with my free-motion stitching. I also show quilts I like and that inspire me. I link to other quilters, crafters and artisans. Sometimes I show what I call "eye candy" that is my own photos for color and pattern inspiration. I try to keep upbeat and positive and encourage others in trying new techniques and crafts. I am a professional jacquard fabric designer by day and a quilt designer by night. I like to laugh, I love feedback, and I look for things to keep me inspired. Sometimes I show photos of my family, which included 3 big dogs, as they are always making me laugh and encouraging me to keep creating.
I am a Professional Longarm Machine Quilter located in Melbourne, Australia. I have a Gammill Classic+ on which I have been quilting for approximately 3 years. Before that I owned a shortarm machine for about 2 years.
I love quilting for both my customers and myself and do both custom and edge to edge quilting. On my blog I hope to display a large range of beautiful quilts over time, whether they have been custom quilted or with an all-over design.
I do tend to quilt a larger number of edge to edge quilts and have developed a real love for wholecloth quilts made from intricate edge to edge designs. I have also ventured into making freehand wholecloth quilts.
In addition, I also make quilts to sell. I have an etsy shop where I am selling some of my quilts. I am hoping to make both wholecloth and pieced quilts - mainly small to medium sized quilts to sell. I would also be interested in making quilts to suit on commission. All my quilts are made and quilted in a smoke free home.
Passionate about Quilting, that's me. I fell in love in 2000 and haven't turned back. My style is bright and fun and WONKY! I love trying new tricks, tips and techniques, so my blog is a journey down my road to discovery. I quilt on a Bernina 830 that has really enhanced my quilting experience. But to me, the machine quilting is the best part of being a quilter! I love the freedom of turning on some music, taking a sip of wine and just letting my creative juices go. While my quilt tops of late are all original designs, my machine quilting is a mix. I never mark a quilt when I begin, but I do see some definite influences from other machine quilters. Still, I like to think that I definitely pull it all together in my own 'hand'.
I also travel quite a bit on business, so I try to incorporate fabric and techniques from all over the world. I keep a listing of my fabric quilts shops on my blog as well, in case you are on a journey of your own. I find quilters are just the nicest people, so.... Come join me as I travel the world of quilting :-)!!
MQ Resource This blog community is for anyone that enjoys machine quilting on a frame system. Longarm, shortarm, and midarm quilters are all welcome whether you quilt for business or profit.
