But Such is Life I am a working mother, daughter, wife, sister, friend, and nurse sharing my crazy life adventure. I'm also a forgiven child of God that is learning everyday. I share about my two beautiful children who keep me busy, keep me tired and keep me young...and while I'm not the mommy I thought I'd be, I'm trying to be the best mommy I can be. I'm a bit of a strong-willed gal that enjoys being silly, seeks adventure, and needs to develop a speed bump between the brain and mouth. Married to my handsome hubby for 13 years, I have lots to share about what we have discovered and are still learning about being a team. Although I've been an RN for nine years and work in the ICU, I believe in holisitic medicine and see a naturopath as well as my regular physician. I wholeheartedly believe that nutrition effects every aspect of our lives and diet is so important. Be prepared for some great recipes, encouraging words, and pretty pictures...with a little bit of (gasp) politics and religion thrown in.
A blog written by a child of God who grew up Catholic, denied His existence through most of my 20's and 30's, and has recently been born again. A single, Christian, work at home mom to 4 homeschooled / unschooled children will share our testimonies and struggles that we face as we search for a deeper relationship with God.
We are a Bible studying, from scratch cooking, Pentecostal Church going, nature loving, game playing, baby wearing, room sharing family trying to make it in this materialistic, greedy, lying, cheating, judgmental, angry, self-righteous, God forsaken country. Each day that we grow stronger, we find that we face a new enemy. We pray for strength and turn to God to remember that we all have a purpose here and we cannot let outside things/people take us off our path, our Path To Salvation that is.
We serve a God greater than our minds can understand. A God who lets us choose our path. A God who lived for us. A God who died for us. A God who blesses us. A God who is worth our worship and praise.

I'm a mom, wife and child of the King.
I live in Upstate New York (the non-bible belt) on a small farm. We have spent the last three years renovated an old farm house which has been awesome, wonderful and exhausting.
After working for 15 years in corporate life, I have now been promoted to the best job ever --- MOM. God worked in my heart through several years of infertility, but answered our prayers in ways we could have never imagined. Now we're back in the same situation - trying to get pregnant again. But I've learned to trust in God's perfect timing. And seek prayers!
