Linda lives in rural New York with her husband and four children. The Baker's homeschooled their children for many years, learning much themselves along the way. In her writing, Linda draws from her experiences as a homeschool mom; from experiences in the workplace; experiences as a home based travel agent; a layworker in her church; and from her marriage. Linda's childhood experiences include growing up in a family with an alocholic father, and being saved by grace in her early teen years. The Baker's first child, Caleb, died in 1987 of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. This time in Linda's life was simultaneously awesome and awful. How awful to lose a child and endure the experience of sending him ahead to heaven...how awesome to see the working of the Lord through it all. He is truly the only source of grace for any day. Linda's blog is a journey through various aspects of life and an exploration of God's grace which He displays in every moment of our lives ... if we just allow ourselves time and opportunity to reflect upon that grace.

I'm a Christian mum and aspiring author who lives in Western Australia. We live on a small property on the outskirts of a town in the South-West. Here we raise Dexter cows and enjoy life. Inspirational Fiction is a passion of mine, both reading and writing it. At the moment I'm working on two different genre's, romance and suspense. I do fiction reviews for Christian Woman magazine and About.com. I also do preliminary reads for The Wild Rose Press. My critique group is wonderful and I wouldn't swap them for the world. They've taught me so much about not only writing but also themselves. I'd never realised how invaluable a critique group could be until they came along. In between writing and running our business from home, we also home school our son. Life is busy but full of God's moments. On my blog you'll find it contains not only my journey to being published, but every day moments and thoughts from my life. Please join me on this journey, I'm sure it's going to be a fun one.

Just as the flesh needs food and water, our soul must be fed by the word of God daily. At Food for the Soul, we enjoy time around His table, together! Explore scripture as it applies to daily life. Share refining stories and come together and praise Him for His promises and His provisions. James 4:8 says "Draw near to me and I will draw near to you". Think about the time you come to the dinner table and grow in relationship with your family and friends. God is calling us to His table so we can grow in fellowship with Him. And just as our physical body is more likely to grab 'junk food' when we miss a meal, so too our soul is more likely to be filled with the junk of this world if we don't take time to fill it with God's word daily. As we feed our soul with His good word, we will develope a craving for more. My prayer is that my craving will never be quenched by anything but His living word. And as I continue to feed it with healthy portions of prayer, study and praise I know that my relationship with Christ will grow stronger and healthier one day at a time.
