Tracing The Past Tracing the Past - has been designed for those of you who are interested in our ancient past. Although originally intended as a vehicle for my interest in Ancient Egypt, it has overtime expanded to cover many areas from the past. I have tried to engender topics in this site that cover history in traditional terms as well as the alternative viewpoints on certain topics.
It contains a variety titles covering all aspects of history, including people, places and events that shaped our world as we know it. You will find late breaking news, interesting links to varied sites and much more.
In all areas of history there has, and will be varying viewpoints. This site is dedicated to all these viewpoints. Primarily, however, it is for those with open minds.
In the words of Howard Carter to Lord Carnarvon when peering into Tutankhamun Tomb for the first time:
'Can you see anything?' – The response was simply:
'Yes, wonderful things.'
In gaining information for this site where applicable I give credit to the source of all material not my own.
Why King Tutankhamun ? Well when I was a small lad living in London I went to the British Museum with my school to see the 1972 King Tutankhamun exhibition, and from that day on I was hooked, how could all those treasure stay hidden for so long? So I have made up this page to try and show some of the great treasure Carter found back in 1922.
A site about the Island of Philae, center of the worship of Aset/Isis, its history, buildings, and a depth look at the Great Goddess Aset, Mistress of Heka.
