Dog-Eared Books Online Dog-Eared Books is situated in NSW, Australia. I am an online bookseller and book addict. I am passionate about books and book collecting. Dog-Eared Books Online previews news and reviews of new and not-so-new books. There will be reviews of new books, however, we like to renew interest in older, hard to find titles. So, you can expect to see a diverse range of titles reviewed on Dog-Eared Books Online. All genres of books will be reviewed with a special interest in true crime, crime fiction and historical fiction. I also have a special interest in children's books and I am passionate about fostering good reading habits in children. Therefore, as well as reviews of books for children and young adult, I will also be posting hints and tips on how to get your children interested in reading. Occasionally, I will also be posting about some of the ups and downs of online book selling and working from home. A look at an online book club that is lacking in members. I am hoping that through this site, we will gain members and start the online book club that I have been looking for. Currently reading, "The Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver. Other books that have already been reviewed include: "Still Alice" by Lisa Genova, "The Graveyard Book" by Neil Gaiman, "The Thirteen Clocks" by James Thurber, "Good In Bed" by Jennifer Weiner, and "Change Of Heart" by Jodi Picoult. I try to get book club questions and fill them out on each post. Then, when you read the book, you can copy paste and fill in your own answers to the questions about the book. Sounds simple! Do it on your own time and get involved in a book club where you don't have to bring a dessert with you and get dressed up...just to end up talking about everything else BUT the actual BOOK!! This is great for reading comprehension skills as well. Enough selling the idea though. If you are interested, please join as a "follower" of the blog. Then I will know when there is enough interest to keep this blog up regularly instead of periodically which is what I do now since it is just me:( Enjoy!!!
My blog is a book review blog dedicated to the love of fiction. I read and post about at least a book a week. I am using a grade scale to show whether or not I like the book, making it easy for the blog reader to understand. I am complying with the new FTA rules for bloggers and each book I review I list at the bottom where I purchased the book from. I also post about decorating with books (like new and different ways to design bookshelves), books that have been made into movies, author events, limited edition releases, hot topics in book news (like author awards, book controversies), etc. I love to read fiction of any kind. I think people would come to my site to find book reviews, current book news, new and trendy things to do with their books and hopefully, eventually a forum to talk to other readers with similar interests. When not reading, I am working hard for my money, exploring the great city of San Francisco, and harassing my boyfriend's cat. :) I would love to be a part of your blog ring!
