Carol's Crochet
Several crochet patterns with detailed instructions. I see that the descriptions has to be over 1000 characters. So here's a rambling addition to the description: I was taught to knit by first my aunt Ila when we were visiting relatives back in Iowa way back when I was around 10 years old. She taught me how to crochet a spiral potholder. I learned most of my crocheting from my Grandmother who lived near us in the Springs and the WorkBasket magazine patterns she shared with me. Neither my sister nor my mother knew how to crochet. But, my crocheting was put to good use crocheting on edgings for pillow slips. I picked up knitting when my children were about the same age as I was when I started crocheting. It was through a knitting group that I was asked to do a series of articles on crocheting (for the Bits and Bobs, the Blog, blog) from a knitter's perspective. Several posts to this blog are taken from the content I added to the Bits and Bobs, the Blog, blog. And I see that with this sentence I have reached the 1000 character minimum!!!

My blog is about crochet and life's simple pleasures, with a little family squeezed in between. It contains my search for crochet patterns on the web, my works in progress and hopefully it is becoming an extension of my web site. We'll talk about some things I love like crocheting, sewing, weaving, gardening, canning, and how we are trying to live a simple life on 5 acres and a crochet hook... I live in a small town in Missouri and am trying to become more frugal, stock up on life's needs, and be happy with the simple pleasures. Throw in some funnies, my family, a book or an audio book in between and I think i'm living the good life. So come on by and visit awhile, We give cookies to those who leave a comment or two or three, hehehe and maybe even signup to follow my blog on Google Friend Connect. Oh and don't be surprised if you see a Llama or two, there have been some sightings on this blog. I hear there might even be Chickens in the future. But really it's all about the Crochet, so sit back, grab a crochet hook and visit awhile.
