HipKnitIzed:Knitting on the Edge
Hi, my name is Jen. I decided to start a website/blog about my adventures as a stay at home single mom. I love knitting and have just recently started my own business from home. I have been knitting my own projects and selling them too! This site doesn't only include my projects but also includes free patterns. As a single mom I have also included easy quick recipes for children to enjoy. Easy ways for moms to save money and any tips that will help out families along the way. I love being a mommy, but it isn't always giggles and play. I have and will also include the trials and tribulations of being a mommy (a single one at that.) My site is fun and funky. I would love for this site to be a trend setter for young hip moms to follow. I love to share my ideas and have become somewhat obsessed with my blog checking it numerous tmes throughout my day. I think the key is to add daily if possible, have fun and let peoplee know how much love I truly have for this craft. I am so happy that I can share my love with others that may feel the same!

Wouldn't you love to be able to make money from knitting or crochet? Well that is what the Knitting For Profit Blog is all about! Here you'll find an abundance of information and ideas to help you create real cash-flow from your passion, and be able to connect with other knitters and crocheters who want to do the same. My most popular articles are about how to get started making money from knitting and crochet, how to sell your knitting online, how to build your knitting or crochet website or blog for free and how to even set up your knitting website with a shopping cart for free! The Knitting For Profit Blog is also a place where you can share your experiences and ideas and become part of the ‘knitterprenuer’ community. You can be inspired by the interviews with real women from around the world who really are "knitting for profit", and read their tips and advice for how you can be successful too. There are yarn reviews and ideas for products you can knit and sell for profit. There is also a special knitting pattern section that has knitting and crochet patterns from designers who have given their permission for you to knit them up and sell the finished products - no more worrying about copyright! So come and visit - I'd love to see you there!

Knits-N-Things is my own personal blog where I talk about my love of fiber arts - specifically knitting and spinning. I show photographs of WIP's (works in-progress), stash enhancement trips after visiting local yarn shops, and (hopefully) lots of finished objects/projects. I spin on a Hitchhiker spinning wheel, and sometimes on a drop spindle. I often get myself into situations where I am involved in some "crazy" (to normal people) deal where I have a secret pal with whom I swap knitting goodies, or get involved in different KALs (that's a "knit-along) to work on a project with other people who also want to knit a certain item (or spin a certain fiber/type of yarn). Mention may be made of events and sites such as Ravelry.com, le Tour de Fleece, Knitting Olympics, Secret Pal, Hogwarts Sock Swap, Sock Wars, etc. Basically, if it has to deal with knitting or spinning, it's fair game for my blog! I am also a single (divorced) mom, so my son is a favorite topic, and often appears in photos and stories - he's my most favorite hobby! In addition, I'm a first grade teacher, and funny stories about my classroom pop up from time to time.
