Primal Home in the City
An Australian family advocating sustainable living, attachment parenting, homebirth, natural learning, feminism, and social justice. When many people hear the word "primal" it conjures up caveman-esque images - animalistic, dirty, uncivilised, uneducated. But that's not me. I am an educated middle-class Australian living in the suburbs of a major city and I own a television, a laptop, a mobile phone, and a car. Most people view me as Normal. So why have I chosen "primal" as a descriptor for my home? This is what the Dictionary defines it as, pri·mal adj. 1. Being first in time; original; primeval. 2. Of first importance; primary. This is a blog about getting back to what is important in life. It's about reconnecting with the fundamental needs of the human animal. It's about homebirth, breastfeeding, co-sleeping, babywearing, attachment parenting, home learning, sustainable living, feminism, social justice, and activism. It's about developing secure, healthy attachments with our children; fostering wellness instead of curing sickness; and living an aware life.

a myriad of my interests including sustainable living, self-education, unschooling, health and weight loss, and theology.

Part farm journal, part spiritual journey, Touch the Earth Farm blog chronicles one family's adventure of living with the land.
