MikiCat Designs Handmade, handcrafted artisan jewelry using a variety of skills from wire work to chainmaille to beading. We design with sterling and argentium silver, gold-fill, Swarovski crystals, hand-crafted lamp work beads, genuine precious and semi-precious gemstones, pearls, glass, polymer clay, ceramic, wood, well, you name it. We love doing custom work and would be pleased to create a one of a kind (OOAK) piece for you.
Most of our jewelry is made spur of the moment. Staring at the stash, searching through the tons of findings, beads, crystals, gemstones, wire and chain with a blank mind. Perhaps something we saw outside, on TV, in a book or magazine, or something someone said will intrigue us. Then BAM! Inspiration hits and we're off, making and putting the components together to create something original, unique and often one of a kind.
MikiCat is actually two people. Miki aka Michele Stewart, a Graduate of the HS of Art & Design in NY, who moved to Florida 30+ years ago, loves to crochet, play with her cats, read and has recently begun creating jewelry. And Cat Nissenfeld, a well-known Psychic, studying to be a Reiki Master and who has been creating fashion, healing and chakra jewelry for over 20 years. Together, using silver, gold, Swarovski crystals, genuine gemstones and semi-precious stones, their experience, skills and aura's overlap and complement each other to bring to you, beautiful and special handmade jewelry and accessories.
