Sheldon Support Services, LLC (Brailler Repair) Chuck Sheldon has been a Perkin's brailler repairman for the past twenty years, supporting non-profit agencies and schools systems in the Northwest.
Chucks motto of "You might get it done for less but never better" speaks to his commitment to quality service and fair trade!
Over the past twenty years, several thousand braillers have passed through Chuck's shop. According to Chuck, David Abraham's Perkins Braillers are built for lifetime usage and normally only require minimal maintenance. The most important action an owner can do to keep their brailler operational, is to keep the cover on it when not in use. The lubricants in a brailler act like a magnet to dust particles. This is the number one reason a brailler needs service by a technician. The dust contaminates the lubricants and result in the sticky operation of the braille writer.
Occasionally parts in a brailler do fatigue and need to be replaced. Chuck's shop includes a complete inventory of new and lightly used parts. Our goal is to provide no more then a 3 day turn around on a brailler that comes though the shop. Our base price includes the replacement of the majority of all parts that normally fail in a brailler. We like to keep it simple for our customers, no hidden costs!
