Bar Mitzvahzilla I started my blog in the summer of 2008 when I was in the crunch time of planning and preparing for my son's Bar Mitzvah, which was in September. He was getting a little high maintenance on me, becoming a "Bar Mitzvahzilla," much like the Bridezillas who torment their family members with their exhaustive demands for their celebrations. Because of the insanity of the situation, because I was planning it largely alone, and because I'm a writer, I needed to write about it, so I started the blog.
When the Bar Mitzvah was over, I thought my blog was too. It came as a surprise to me when I found that I wasn't quite done writing. My son - Bar Mitzvahzilla - turns out to be a rich source of material for me to blog about. My Daughter, the future Bat Mitzvahzilla, is in here too, along with my six sisters, my Holocaust Survivor mother, and my Nebraska-raised Stepfather. As a Skokie transplant raising Jewish kids in Arizona and dealing with the teen years and the pre-teen years at once, I find there's always something to write about.

I write The Political and Financial Markets Commentator in order to bring my conservative opinions, thought and commentary to as wide a group of readers around the world as I can.
I am Jewish, and as such fully understand the obstacles that both we as a people and Israel as a country face. I grew up as one of the few Jews in my elementary school and experienced the pain and danger of ignorance and hate, both veiled and not veiled.
I do not always write my articles specifically on Judaism, but rather on the world condition, of which Israel is, and has been for some time, a focus. I write about the dangers of international leaders who tolerate the actions of those who would like to destroy Israel given the chance. Iran poses a significant threat, not only to Jews and Israel, but to the entire world.
Leaders who stick by diplomacy as the easy way to avoid making the hard decisions will leave Israel in the position of having to act in a unilateral way.
I digress slightly, but suffice it to say that the goal of my blog is to address those things that potentially possess the power to destroy us.
