Ozeecommunity -The Community for all Australians This site is for all Australia lifestyles and that includes schools, education, universities, events, hobbies, sports.local communities, local government, Australian issues and meeting up with other likeminded people in your area.
We offer a wide range of topics as well as an events section for local communities to notify of local upcoming events. Add your favourite pictures, set up your local chat groups, post your music.
Let the rest of the world know what Australians are doing within your community.
We would eventually like to see local politicians and Government bodies on the site answering local questions.
We would like to see people set up their regional homeschooling group chat site and local footy supporters chat site.
We would like to see musicians and artists promote themselves on here as well as local farmers.
This site is set up by region and has been created to reconstruct the new community online as a way of replacing our old ones that have long vanished due to the hustle and bsutle of everyday life.
Art Quilts and Experiments with Fabric
Art has always been part of my life. My interest in art and sewing started when I was very young. I got my first sewing machine at the age of six, and began sewing clothing & quilts for my Barbie Dolls and myself. I taught myself to knit at ten... And thus an artist was born. Besides it was the only subject in school I got straight A's.
I am a Fiber Artist, Art Quilter, Painter and much more. I love color, shape and design, and work intuitively once I have an idea. I love working with the unknown and discovering new processes and methods. I hand dye the majority of my fabrics but also enjoy painting & drawing on fabric, discharging fabric with bleach and printing on fabric with hand-made stamps and screen printing. I love the fact that with hand dying and discharging you can never be 100% sure what you will get it the end.
I love all aspects of my work from concept to completion, but I have discovered that I enjoy the process rather than the product.... In other words I hate finishing things and have to really push myself. My blog was orginally started with the intention of helping me to finish, but it is still a struggle.
Artful Quilters Blog Community This community is for quilt artists whose focus is making contemporary, innovative, non-traditional, and/or experimental quilts to share their blogs, exchange thoughts about the process of art quilting, and share other bits of life that swirl around quilt making. While we enjoy and admire more traditional quilts, this community is not intended for blogs that focus on traditional quilting.
