This site has a new limerick daily about the nonsense of real events, real people and real life. These are not your usual Edward Lear nonsense limericks nor are they bawdy or x-rated. Real life is so full of nonsense in politics, nonsensical events and ridiculous people that it lends itself perfectly to expression in limericks. The attitude is skeptical, the humor slightly dry and no subject is off limits. Politics, celebrities, sports figures and business people are some of my favorite topics.
Each day, Monday through Friday, has a new limerick based on a recent headline or event. They're prefaced with a short comment to help 'set the scene' and often contain a link to the relevant story should the reader want more information. It seeks to deliver a quick read that produces a knowing smile, wry grin or maybe even a laugh out loud. If you're looking for deep, insightful analysis of the issues of the day, you've come to the wrong place.
The daily limerick is usually available first thing in the morning so it's a good way to start your day.
