SunnyBrook Farm The story of an urban farm on a 1/4 acre lot
I'm always receiving gardening tips and other articles from friends and family. I decided to store tem here. Hope you find something you can use.
Digging Earth is a site focused on growing your own food and moving towards self sufficiency. We like our modern conveniences and have no intention of giving them up, but we also believe it is possible to live a "green" lifestyle without giving those up. We started with a couple of raised beds and some chickens and are working our way up from there.
It really is all about escaping the consumer lifestyle, becoming more green and gaining a self sufficient lifestyle in the process. In terms of gardening, we look forward to trying many things in future months and years including harvesting during all four seasons via conventional methods, green house construction and growing and hydroponics.
It will be an interesting voyage that we will enjoy sharing with others as well as getting their comments. We developed this blog, because people have helped use along the way and maybe we can be an inspiration or help to others.
If we all can do our bit, then we will be able to build a better world for our children.
