Becoming a mother is about the most life-changing events that can happen to any woman. It changes your life and perception about it in so many ways you never thought possible. You'll get to understand the true meaning of love and what it means to love someone unconditionally. Motherhood, however comes with the responsibility of taking care of these children and raising them up to be good citizens of the society. A lot of this responsibility os placed on the mother because they are usually the ones closer to the children. Raising kids in Africa is so very different from raising them abroad. The views of the societies are different, the cultures are different and the tools available for this, are also different. Being a born-and-bred African living abroad, I face a lot of challenges when it comes to family and raising children. The fact that you do not have any hired help like back home and everything is left for you and your spouse, and also the method of raising these my kids are different from how we were brought up. So this blog is about my journey as an African Mother abroad.
