A House on the Hill A shady little spot where I can post my humble attempts at art and life.
I'm a plein air painter. I love to paint from life whether it is setting up a still life or painting outdoors. My paintings have been described by another artist as being poetic. I have a strong command of color and see subtle variations in color. My style is painterly with some texture. Developing and evolving, I hope to make an artful blog - my photos and creations, my granddaughter, my kitty, public domain images, and other things I've not yet thought of, and, of course, my musings.
Artful on the side ArtfulOnTheSide is a community for the personal blogger trying to fit color, art, and creativity into a hectic schedule.
