Wilde Thyme Knits I am a British Citizen and former Norwegian resident now knitting (and living) in America's Pacific Northwest.I am a wife, mother, writer, multi-media marketing fanatic and lifelong knitter.
My Expat lifestyle has made knitting needle sizes and yarn gauges a constant challenge, not to mention pattern translations! Add to that a teenage daughter who covets my yarn, another who really doesn't care one way or the other and a young son, who constantly wants me to knit him hats and you have a recipe for chaos.
My stash is a well-travelled work-in-progress and an obsession that I have no intention of being cured of. It is liberally secreted about my house, hopefully safe from moths, cats and younger knitters! My husband doesn't understand my stash at all. He sees it as just another thing we cart around the world with us!
I knit in the car. I knit in the bedroom. I knit in the garden. I knit for pleasure. I knit for fun. I knit to be sociable. But most of all I knit to stay sane!
yes, it is more like juliet's wish to be like grandma mabel ~ an inspiration. she taught me the value of what can be created with two hands, dreams, and patience.
