Top of the World Knits
I create this site in order to showcase my knitting, needlepoint, and quilting projects and also to share my thoughts, ideas, and inspirations for my crafts.

I was once asked where I learned to quilt: I just picked up a needle and thread and went from there!

Hand quilter and stay at home mom attempts to maintain sanity while creating something, anything, with my hands, heart and soul. I hand cut, hand piece hand quilt and soon to be hand applique. I use any kind of fabric I can get my hands on. I'm not snobby, but of course new fabric is always nice. I'm married to a wonderful math professor who puts up with my wild and crazy antics and keeps me entertained daily with tales from his classroom experience. I search high and low for motivation to keep me stitching and in stitches as well as the continual hunt for time and energy to quilt. I write about my life and my quilts. I try to include posts about spirit, cooking, books I've read, quilts in progress and fabric acquisitions. I highlight pictures of my children, ages two and half and almost two months. I find inspiration in everything! Pictures, books, articles, and other blogs. I enjoy the friendships I've made through my site as well as the spiritual growth a creative outlet provides.

Hand Quilters
This community is for quilters that mainly quilt by hand. Blogs in the community should be quilt-focused or at least have regular posts about quilting. The size and style of quilts you make doesn't matter, so long as you stitch the layers together by hand. Feel free to recommend this community to your handquilting friends~
