My House Of Belonging is about the journey from stark aloneness to sweet solitude in one's life. There are many aspects to my house that are shared as seperate pages. I am an original Florida Cracker or native, born and raised on the West Central Coast of Florida. I have been an office manage for several companies over the past 15 or so years.
for the past 3 years I have owned a flower nursery, something I have always wanted to do!
I have always been interested in Art,
and music and creative writing.
I started painting and sketching in my early teens
and tried to keep up with it but...could not keep up
with it while working full time.
I started writing short stories and poetry in High School
that was my great escape from reality. Music has always
been in my life growing up in church I sang in the choir
and many groups and ensembles. In middle school
I sang in the school Chrous. As a Teenager I sang with a gospel trio. Then onto lots of Gospel singing groups.
I got married right out of high school at 18.
My husband shared my love for music He is a very talented songwriter and key boardist.
We sang together at church and in several bands.
Some Rock, Country and top 40 music.
We have recorded two albums all HIS original music
we just gave them away to friends.
It was all quite exciting going to the recording studio and a lot of hard work. He now has his own recording studio.
In the last 5 years I started learning to make web pages.
My first one (1995) was a disaster!
So I gave up. I am back at it again and this time. I have managed to learn how to do many new things.
Things I love to do...... I love the outdoors!
I spend a lot of time in the sun at home or at the beach. Camping, Fishing,
I love flowers and growing them
I love watching football, basketball,
boxing
My one hobby right now is bowling! My bowling nickname used to be "Lock and Load"...now they call me "smooth"
I bowl on Summer and Winter leagues.
I try to enjoy life...one day at a time
and remember what is important in life...God, Family, and friends
I've seen too many of my friends
die much too young.
