fatblog.digsite Cleaning up the body squalor
Discussions about weight loss success, quitting smoking, reducing stress, and other big challenges. You've been successful in other areas. What is your "one last thing" you want to overcome?
Hello! My name is Kelly and I am fat. Problem is I’m a lot of other things too: a wife, graduate student, friend, Special Olympics coach, public servant, and outdoor enthusiast to name a few. But for the past 25 years of my life, since I can remember, my weight has been a heavy cloud weighing looming over all activities in my life. My weight has operated as a shield from failure as I refused to try new things, a deterrent for social growth as I avoided new people and places, and a barrier to my own personal growth as I’ve used the excuse “when I just lose a few pounds, I’ll finally ________.”
For the past 25 years I’ve been choosing to sit on the sidelines. I don’t want my gravestone to say “She wanted to XYZ” I want it to proclaim “She did XYZ!”
No more!
This blog will be the documentation of my journey as I choose to lose. I believe in order to lose weight and obtain maximum health and joy in life I need to alter the series of choices I make daily. I need to choose to move more, choose to eat wiser, and choose to take chances and LIVE, regardless of what my weight is!
