Billy Mitchell It has been said that Rhode islander Billy Mitchell's music is like a trip to Key West via "The Twilight Zone"; Great fun, full of musical surprises. His original songs are inspired by the free spirit of Jimmy Buffett, the wit of Shel Silverstein, the eccentricity of John Prine with a dash of Spike Jones thrown in for good measure. His songs have been recorded & released on three CDs. Billy's songs & videos are on his site. He has been writing and entertaining for over 25 years, originally with a cappella doo-wop quartet The Hudsons, and for the last twelve years as front man for RI Classic Rock band, New York Minute along with solo engagements in local venues like Newport& Jamestown RI, regionally in venues like Boston's Dick's Last Resort and The House of Blues in Los Angeles as well as numerous European appearances.
