Jeffrey Denning LDS military member Iraq WAR BLOG...for the most part (2007-2008). As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, my friends have called me a paradox. I'm a former SWAT team leader and FBI-trained hostage negotiator. I've lived in Jerusalem, Iraq, South Korea and other places. After 9/11, I worked as an undercover air marshal and lied for a living. Imagine what I was thinking when Elder Oaks came and sat on the plane! We had a good talk.
